Orphan of War Xena comes to the aid of a village of Centaurs when their existence is
threatened by an ex-member of her army named Dagnine
Remember Nothing
We all come to a point in our lives when we look back and say to ourselves: "I wish I had done things differently." Well Xena is given exactly that chance. She saves a Temple to the Fates from a group of thugs, and in the process kills a young boy, barely out of his teens. Filled with regret, Xena goes into the temple to find Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos, the three faces of fate, waiting for her inside. They give her one more chance to save not only the boys life but a chance to live her own life differently. Xena, of course, jumps at the chance. Who wouldn't? She leaves the temple and steps into a world much different than what she expects to find. Once again her beloved brother Lyceus (Aaron Devitt) walks the Earth, but it has other problems as well. We soon discover that the villains she stopped in her alternate life as a Warrior have virtually free reign in the world, doing evil without worry of punishment. Her mother is dead, her home village is under Siege, Gabrielle is a slave, and the Centaurs and Amazon's are all but extinct. It would seem, dear friends, that the world is a better place with the Warrior Princess in it...

A Necessary Evil
What would that be pray tell? Xena and Gabrielle believe they have gotten away lucky. Xena' is alive and reunited with Gabrielle. Ephiny is now standing Queen in Gabrielle's absence, but BEST of all Velasca is...dead? If I'm not mistaken, that broken and bloody beauty dragging herself into camp is the so-called DEAD Velasca. It would seem that Xena isn't the only one with a taste for Ambrosia now is it? Our ruthless Amazon wanna-be Queen is alive by her sheer hatred for Gabrielle alone. She eats the Ambrosia, right there in front of everyone (what, none for me? I said you were pretty for heaven's sake!) and morphs into this ruthless...bitch god with a lust for Gabrielle's blood. Even the Warrior Princess can only hold her own against a god for so long, and we all know Velasca's not about to share her little sack of goodies so what to do? What to do...The best way to fight a god, is with another god, but If you don't have a god handy, then go for an immortal. Xena and Gabrielle free Callisto from Hercules' little prison with the promise of Ambrosia. Like cheese dangling before a hungry mouse, Callisto just can't resist...

Apex has plans to marry Gabrielle off to their dead king Solus and then cremate her so to keep the secret that the king died without an heir. This way the kingdom will go to Apex instead of the kings distant cousin. Meanwhile Xena must battle Palaemon (who wants to kill her in battle so he can be the best). In the fight she gets oil laced with sumac into her eyes. If she doesn’t get to the cure she will go blind forever. She convinces Palaemon to help her rescue Gabrielle even though doing so means she will lose her vision forever.
Ulysses
He's tall, he's dark, he's handsome, and he's got eyes to die for. A woman could just melt into them, and Xena does. He is the legendary Ulysses (John D'Aquino)and he's going home to Ithaca, if he can fight his way past Poseidon's traps. Xena and Gabrielle help him past those traps, and Ulysses wants Xena to stay to rule with him, since his wife Penelope is dead. Or is she? Just when Xena believe she may have found Mr. Right she has to let him go in the interest of honesty and morality.
The Price
Xena and Gabrielle think they've found paradise, especially for Xena when she finds that the fish are "Practically jumping on shore!" The much deserved vacation will have to wait however when the Horde, a violent race of warriors that once destroyed a scouting party from Xena's army years before, make their presence known. Xena and Gabrielle barely escape the first attack, and find shelter with a stranded company of Athenian soldiers. Xena has resigned herself to save these men, or die trying, while Gabrielle wants to find a way to establish peace. Xena begins to slip away into the darkness she barely keeps at arms length, and all hope looks lost until Gabrielle has mercy on a captive enemy and inadvertently discovers the key to peace. In this episode Gabrielle undeniably shines through as the Hero. I feel that it was this kind of difference between Xena and Gabrielle's personality and behavior that made this show so great. Ah...I miss this Gabby. Don't you?
