Friends Realize What Friendship is

Xena & Gabrielle are traveling to Athens when all of a sudden a

man, only about 30 or 20, runs towards the 2 woman, panic shining in his eyes.

"Please, you must help me. An army of Ares has torched our village .You must

come quickly!" Xena & Gabrielle run with the man to the village. the smell of

burning wood, corpses of the innocent that Ares had already killed for fun &

sport mingled in the air, making Xena & Gabrielle want to hurl their

breakfast. Screams of terror, pain, & agony make Xena's blood boil. Nearby, a

soldier is harassing a village woman. The soldier feels a tap on the shoulder.

He turns around to find Xena smiling at him innocently. "Excuse me sir, but

didn't your mother ever tell you that it's not nice to harass

someone, especially a lady?" The soldier smiles at her as if to say "So what

are you gonna do about it?" With that ,Xena kicked the man unconscious.

"Apparently not". Gabrielle is fighting with 2 men who are quite tough. "Okay,

come on big boy." The man charges her. Since Gabrielle is standing in front of a

well , She just moves to the side, where as the man falls in. Oh yes, tough ,

but stupid. Xena helps Gabrielle with the other man. "Okay, ya overgrown, poor

excuse for a man! lets see what you got!" The man, who obviously didn't like

that cruel(but true!) comment, rushes Xena & Gabrielle . Xena takes a hold of

the man's arm &swings him around to get him dizzy. Then, while he's trying to

make the world stop spinning, she punches him into a state of

unconsciousness. "Gabrielle." Xena says. "Tall & stupid is no way to go through

life." Gabrielle laughs ,then ducks as a man who tried to jump her goes flying

over her head. He gets slammed into a pillar. "That was close." Gabrielle says.

Later that day in their hut

Gab: "Oh, my head is killing me!"

Xena: "Mine too."

Gab: "I'm gonna get some shuteye okay?"

Xena: "okay."

The next day

Xena got up early to find Gabrielle gone. "That's weird." She said to

herself. I'm usually the first up. By late afternoon, when Gabrielle wasn't

back, Xena began to worry. Something's wrong. Gabrielle wouldn't do this .With

that Xena mounted Argo, her trusty horse, and went looking for her friend.

Xena had only been riding an hour when she heard a cry

for help. She knew that voice. "Gabrielle!" she yelled, hoping her friend

could hear her.

Xena found her friend tied to a tree. "Help Xena!" Gabrielle yells,

tears streaming down her face. "I'm coming Gabrielle!" Xena yells. Just as she

takes a step forward, a lighting bolt hits her ,making her fly & smash into a

boulder 20 feet away. "Someone's gonna get it now." But when she looked up no

one was there but Gabrielle. Wait a minute. Gabrielle's a Goddess. She can free

herself from those ropes. Xena thinks All of a sudden, Ares & Callisto appear

,smiling misceheviously . "Well, well, well. If isn't the little Princess

herself." Callisto sneers. "Did you do this, Callisto?" Xena asks.

"Maybe." Callisto says playfully.

"Ares, did you do it?"Xena asks turning to him. "Maybe." Ares says

scornfully. "Yes they did !!! Now help me!!!!" Gabrielle screams. "Shut up

!"yells Ares. Xena takes out of her pouch The Hind's Blood Dagger." "Don't make

me use this!" Xena growls. Just to annoy Xena Callisto goes over to Gabrielle

and sets a rope holding her on fire. "You've been warned!" Xena says & with

that she charges Callisto. She punches Callisto in the stomach a kicks her in

the jaw. Callisto tries to hit her with lightning bolts, but Xena ducks & they

hit Ares instead! "Yeeeeeoooowwwwww!!!!! What did you do that for ?!?!?" "Sorry

Ar-.she didn't get to finish her sentence because Xena tackled her from

behind. "Oh you'll be sorry, alright!" She yells. She knocked Callisto

unconscious.

Xena draws her sword walks over to Ares. Ares draws his sword too. He then

strikes. Xena easily parries his blow & swings. It goes on for 2 hours.

Finally, Ares throws down his sword. "I give up. Take Gabrielle and leave."

Xena unties Gabby and they leave.

At Their Camp

Xena & Gabby wake , pack camp, and set off,

Gab: "Xena, do you fell uncomfortable with my being a Goddess?"

Xena: "At first I was afraid you would turn against me. But I guess it was just

my instincts."

WHUMP. Gabrielle hit Xena over the head with her staff. "Should've

followed your instincts."

In Ares' Temple

"Ugh. Where am I?" Xena says as she wakes up from being

unconscious. "Morning, Sunshine." Ares says with a smile on his face. "Your in

one of my temples."

"Get me out of here, Ares."

"Sorry. No-can-do. Your stuck."

"Areeeesssss!" Xena growls.

"Oh, alright. If you insist."

"Thank you."

Ares takes Xena to the armory. "You got some nice fancy weapons, Ares. What

are they for?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I mean your a God. Gods don't need weapons. So why do you have them?"

"For decoration, I guess."

Just then Gabby enters the room.

"Why did you betray me, Gabrielle?"

"I didn't betray you , Xena. I came to my senses."

"Why am I here."

"Well, I wanted to tell you something."

"Which is?"

"Time to die."

Gabby shot lightning bolts at Xena. Xena dodged all of them & grabbed The

Hind's Blood Dagger.
