Gabrielle's Revenge

"NNOOOOO!" Gabrielle had screamed, while plummeting down into the fire. Her

scream had been echoed by Hope's, and Xena's cries. That had been the day

that Gabrielle had saved Xena by throwing herself and Hope into the fire.

Now it was a year later, and Gabrielle's kind nature had been destroyed in

the cold, dank, underworld. She now had a longing for things that were less

pleasant than the things she had longed for while she was alive. She used to

want good for the people, and peace on Earth, but now there was only one small

thing she wished for. Revenge.

That night as Gabrielle was trying to fall into slumber, Hope slowly

approached her, a scowl on her beautiful face.

"Hello Mother" she spit angrily.

"Hello my daughter" Gabrielle answered with the same wretched anger.

For a long time, the two sat staring into each each other's icy eyes, both

with terrible contempt. The underworld had the power to do this to any one.

Even the once sweet loving, kind Gabrielle. If Hope made a move, Gabrielle

would make a move. If neither made a move then they would just sit there,

staring, with rage captivating their bodies. And neither of them did make a

move, certainly not Hope, because Hope fell asleep after a while.

As soon as Gabrielle realized that Hope had fallen asleep, she rolled her

eyes evilly, an debated what thing she should do next!
