After a long day of walking through the forest, Xena and Gabrielle retired. Xena lit a fire and Gabrielle cooked up a quick bite to eat after that both tired women lay down and instantly fell asleep.

The next morning Xena awoke at her usual early time and was surprised to see Gabrielle still asleep. ‘Wow!’ Xena thought, ‘she is usually up way before me, scribbling on her on going Xena scrolls scrolls. Yesterday must have really knocked her.’

Gabrielle awoke a couple of hours later, still sleepy.

Gabby: Yawn!

Xena: Good Morning Sunshine! Good to see daylight again, Eh? Do you remember daylight, it is brighter than night?

Gabby: Yawn! Yeah very funny. Yawn!

Xena: You feelin’ OK?

Gabby: Yeah I am just so tired. Yawn!

Xena: Come over here.

Gabrielle staggered over to Xena and sat next to her friend, glad to be sitting down again. Xena was prodding at something in front of her, while Gabrielle was washing her face and arms in the water Xena had collected.

Xena: Want breakfast? It is cold but that’s not my fault you over slept!

Gabby: Lay off me!

Gabrielle gave Xena a light push and punch in the arm.

Gabrielle then looked at the cold food and turned up her nose.

Gabby: I’ll get something in the next town. Any way I am not very hungry.

Xena looked at Gabrielle, concerned. She was not at all herself she was quiet (for a change), tired and not hungry.

Xena: Are you sure you are fine, you are not your usual self?

Gabby: I am all right, I think.

With that both of them packed up their camp, Xena grabbed Argo and they started walking to the next town.

As they were walking Gabrielle was feeling awful.

Gabby: (Thinking in her head) Why am I feeling so awful? The world is spinning, O my Zeus, Xena looks ten feet tall.

With that Gabrielle fainted in to the arms of Xena who luckily caught her.
