In light of the Christmas seaon I have written a xena version of "Twas

the Night Before Christmas. Here it goes;

T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE A BATTLE....

T'was the night before a battle and all through the town

horses were stirring and there were plenty of frowns.

The arrows and weapons were all ready to go

In fear that the evil one would strike, oh no!

The villagers were all worried and pacing in their sheds

While visions of love and peace danced in their heads.

While Gabby asleep and Xena growing bored

She finished cleaning her chakram and next was her sword

When out on the dirt there arose such a blast

I ran out of my bed, I had to be fast!

When what to my wondering eyes should I see

But a band of theives slowly approaching me

With a scary looking woman, holding weapons and rope

I knew in a moment that it must be evil Hope

More rapid than eagles her backflips she came

And she whistled and shouted and called her name;

"Now Gabby wake up it's time for a fight!"

"Oh Xena, leave me alone for one damn night"

So to the top of the sheds! To the top of the wall

Now kick ass, kick ass kick ass till they fall!

She was dressed in leather from her head to her feet

But that didn't stop evil Hope, for eye to eye they meet

Her chakram and sword were all ready to fight

While Gabby's staff layed still since last night

Her eyes, how determined, Hope's presence how destructive

Xena looked over to sleeping Gabby and thought "how productive?"

She kicks and she punches till her opponent is down

She knows she better save this little town

Without help from Gabby, Xena beat out her foe

She had completed her mission now she knew she should go

She spoke not a word and went straight to get her stuff

Gabby replies "Gee Xena did you have to be so rough?"

And I heard them argue as they rode out of sight

"Gabrielle why do you have to always be right?"
