He fumbles and he bumbles

and reaches for his sword.

He takes just two steps forward

then trips over a cord.

He lies on the ground, sprawling

but still he won't give in.

He came here to protect you

from Jet, his evil kin.

Sword in hand he rises

and faces without fear

his smirking older brother,

and wipes away a tear.

"I'm going to usurp you,

there's nothing you can gain,"

he says to Jet so sternly

though his eyes are filled with pain.

His brother Jet just laughs and sneers,

he'll never see the proof

of what lies deep in Joxer's heart,

affection, love, and truth.

But wait, now Jet sees something new,

a glint in Joxer's eye.

He isn't sure just what to do

and feels he mught just die.

He drops his sword and runs away,

and Joxer wears a grin.

He finally found the strength inside

to stand his ground and win.
