Xena's Mask

She wears a mask that grins and lies
It hides her cheeks and shades her eyes.
This debt she pays to human guile
With a torn and bleeding heart she smiles.

She smiles,but, by the gods,she cries
But not lets her torchered soul arise.
But let the world think otherwise,
Because lies may be truth, and truth may be lies.
